Bryan’s Story
Bryan was the young man addicted to pornography and influenced by the cultural narrative about what it meant to be a man. He masked his anger, depression, and suicidal thoughts in a party lifestyle.
After an encounter with Jesus just a few months after his high-school grad, his views began to radically shift. He knew that he wanted to be a part of the answer for a broken and confused generation.
Through consistent counsel, diligent study, and time in the presence of God, Bryan found freedom from those harmful, old mindsets around his masculine identity and sexuality. Over time he also discovered a God-given desire and ability to preach, teach, and lead within the local church context.
Now, by the grace of God, Bryan is living a life he never would have dreamed possible. He married Bonnie in 2007 and is now a father to six sons, with whom he intentionally connects with. He loves developing resources for The Union, interviewing and connecting with guests on the podcast, and meeting with church and ministry leaders who are looking for support.
He enjoys woodworking, nachos, and weightlifting, and when he gets the chance, he loves to sit down with a good cup of coffee and a book about theology.
