Bonnie’s Story
Bonnie was the homeschooled, church girl who lost count of the number of times she “asked Jesus into her heart”. All seemed to be going smoothly until she learned that a leader in her local church had cheated on his wife and gotten involved with a teen girl in the youth group. Bonnie was devastated, and in the coming months and years her eyes were opened to the widespread heartache and distress that comes when God's boundaries for sexual expression are violated.
As a 19 year old while in a discipleship school, she began to see in Scripture about God's desire to heal men and women from their sexual pain and shame. She soon realized that this was a key to unlock revival in the nations, and that God was calling her to use her voice and prophetic gifting to bring messages of hope.
After getting married in 2007, Bryan and Bonnie felt excited to have children. In 2008, Bonnie gave birth to identical twin boys, and her calling as a stay-at-home mom began. They are now raising six sons, and Bonnie finds great joy in mothering and homeschooling, with an awareness that the years are fleeting. Outside of the responsibilities of home, Bonnie also dedicates time and space for writing, graphic design and development of The Union Movement.
She loves being active out in nature whenever possible, but she can also be found with a book, a journal, and a cup of chamomile tea in hand.
